Valencia Gayles Becomes CEO of True Agency



Congrats to Valencia Gayles, the new CEO of Los Angeles based creative advertising agency The True Agency. Gayles, 41, will assume CEO responsibilities in January 2008. She said"I'm most looking forward to continuing to grow the business." True Agency's vision is about transcultures and going beyond the boundaries. Their list of clients includes Nissan, Infiniti, AARP, Countrywide, and Hilton Hotels.

Since 2002, Gayles has been with The True Agency. She has served as chief operating officer and most recently was the president. She had a hand in several popular ad campaigns including True's "Infiniti In Black" campaign for Nissan. "In Black" featured five top black artists in the first ever prime-time commercial-free branded program on BET. The artists noted distinct characteristics of their art form that also mirrored key features of Infiniti models.

Gayle says that successful transcultural campaigns appeal to people on all levels regardless of color. "It's not just about ethnicity. It's about lifestyle and culture."
