Serena Williams Wins the WTA Championship

On Sunday, Serena Williams beat opponent Maria Sharapova 6-4, 6-3, winning the Istanbul hosted WTA Championship for the third time and ending the season with a 59-4 record.  

After surviving a serious injury and near-fatal healthcare, Williams has had an outstanding award-winning year earning seven titles and taking the victor's role in Wimbledon, the Olympic gold medal and U.S. Open, to name a few.

Ms. Williams told the Associated Press "I had such a good year, it was important to end on a good note. It was good for my sanity to win," Williams said. "I really wanted it although I didn't need it. "

Serena is the Victor @ Sony Ericsson Open in Miami

Serena Williams victory felt as beautiful as the weather in Miami this weekend. She defeated Jelena Jankovic and claimed her second straight $3.77 million Sony Ericsson Open title.

Ms. Williams captured a 6-1, 5-7, 6-3 victory in a 2-hour, 25-minute affair and won her 12th straight match in Miami capturing her 30th career title in 41 finals appearances. Serena won $590,000. Jankovic received $295,675. She improved to 14-1 so far this season.

The Grammy's were in full effect in Los Angeles this weekend and Black stars dominated. Clive Davis through his annual pre-Grammy party and the sista were out and looking gorgeous.

Barbados gem, Rihanna wore a 70's inspired silk jersey gown and looked fresh-faced and beautiful as always.

Diva, Whitney Houston looked so refreshed, healthy and happy in a glamorous sequins gown.

Model and Eddie Murphy's ex-wife, Nicole Mitchell, oozed sex and glamour in a champagne, tiered and body-hugging gown. Nicole's gown is one of my favorites.

Now, I must say I'm sooo impressed with how Serena Williams is styling herself these days. The tennis legend looked flirty, feminine and pretty in a flattering red cocktail dress.
